AFMS Medical Officer Eligibility Criteria
If you are looking to give this exam, then you must follow the AFMS guidelines because AFMS released education requirements.
Education:
- Students must pass MBBS and have permanent registration from the Medical Council.
- PG pass-out students have degrees from recognized states like NMC/NBE or MCI.
- Having good marks in the Medical Entrance Exam can increase your chances in the selection process.
Application Fees:
- If you belong to the Open Category, then your registration fee is Rs. 200/-.
- Reserved categories like SC/ST have registration fees of Rs. 200/-.
- You have to pay these fees via online mode.
Age Limit:
For each category, the age limit is different; it varies, but people born after 1996 are eligible for MBBS degree holders, and for post-graduation degree holders, your birth year should be 1991; only then will you be eligible for this job post.
- MBBS students’ age limit is 30 years.
- Post-graduation student age limit is 35 years.

AFMS officially released the exam registration date, and eligible candidates can apply from 19 April 2025.

How to Apply for AFMS Medical Officer Recruitment?
To apply for AFMS Recruitment, you have to follow a given process; it is a completely online process, and you can apply via your smartphone.
- Visit the AFMS official portal website https://join.afms.gov.in.
- On the homepage you will see the login form but have to click on the New User Registration Link.
- You can register using your mobile number via OTP or can use an email ID (not compulsory).
- Fill in your application form details such as medical qualification details, your name, DOB, & academic information.
- Then you have to upload legal documents like your medical degree, latest photograph, and signature.
- Make sure to upload a scanned copy in proper PDF, JPG, or PNG format.
- Now the payment gateway will popup and you will have to pay the registration fee of Rs. 200/- via online mode.
- Once payment is paid, you can review your application and, after verifying, can submit it.
- After a few seconds, you can download your AFMS Registration Form.
- Always take the print of the registration form and carry the physical copy with you to the exam center.
